__NOTOC__ Żyrardów County ((ポーランド語:powiat żyrardowski)) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Masovian Voivodeship, east-central Poland. It came into being on 1 January 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Żyrardów, which lies south-west of Warsaw. The only other town in the county is Mszczonów, lying south-east of Żyrardów. The county covers an area of . As of 2006 its total population is 74,662, out of which the population of Żyrardów is 41,161, that of Mszczonów is 6,231, and the rural population is 27,270. ==Neighbouring counties== Żyrardów County is bordered by Grodzisk Mazowiecki County to the east, Grójec County to the south-east, Rawa County to the south, Skierniewice County to the west and Sochaczew County to the north-west.
